King Instruments

Mid-West Instrument 

Mid-West® Instrument was founded based on innovation back in 1958. At that time a customer approached Mid-West® Instrument with the need for monitoring pressure drop across a filter. The founders, a group of engineers, developed the model 120 differential pressure gauge. It was then a heritage of working with customers to solve their application needs was born. A second customer approached Mid-West® Instrument with the need for a leak detection gauge, the founders again developed a solution with the model 109 which was based on differential pressure. Universal Flow Monitors  

Over the years, Universal has added flow indication and flow transmitters to the basic design platform. We have also added the Insite® and FlowStream® product lines. Insite® is a plastic see through flow indicator used for water , de-ionized water and dilute chemicals used in waste water treatment. The FlowStream® product uses a different technology to measure the mass flow of clean gasses where fast response and survivability are key.

Winters Thermogauges 

The founding of the company can be traced back to the former central European republic of Czechoslovakia, where Mechanika Bratislava, an instrumentation factory, was formed in 1925. Its founder, Mr. Erwin Winters, re-established the business in Toronto, Canada in 1953 under the name, “Winters Thermogauges”. The company later became known as Winters Instruments.
